About Brandedvideo

The Question Nobody Asks First

Brandedvideo works on garage door springs across Huntington Beach, out of Adams Ave in the 92647 ZIP. We took the trade down to one part because the counterbalance is where the weight is, where the danger is, and where most of the confusion is.

Here is the confusion. Two entirely different systems are sold as the same repair. A homeowner rings around, gets three prices for a spring, and none of the three companies has asked which system is on the door. The prices are miles apart and nobody explains why.

Two Ways to Carry a Door

Torsion stores energy by twisting. A steel shaft sits across the wall above the opening, springs are threaded onto it, and cable drums at each end wind the door up as the shaft turns.

Extension stores energy by stretching. Two long springs lie along the horizontal tracks near the ceiling, one per side, pulling through a pulley and cable as the door drops.

Different parts, different tools, different money, different safety hardware. That is why we lead with identification rather than diagnosis. Once we know which one you have, the rest of the conversation is short.

What We Will Tell You Straight

We will not sell a high cycle spring set to a household that opens the door twice a day. The upgrade earns its money on a door cycling six or eight times daily, and on a quiet street it just sits there being expensive.

We will not convert an extension system to torsion when the garage does not have the headroom, and a good number of the older garages here do not.

We will insist on containment cables through extension springs, every time. That is not a sales position. It is the cheapest safety item in the whole assembly and there is no argument for skipping it.

The Line We Do Not Cross

We are happy to talk any homeowner through rollers, hinges, a bottom seal or the sensor alignment on a UL 325 reversing system. Springs are the exception. Wound torsion springs and stretched extension springs hold enough energy to do permanent damage, and the injuries happen to capable people who were one tool short.
